JULY/ AUGUST UPDATE

HELLO ALL!!

WE MOVED…AGAIN!!

Just three weeks ago Corey and I were living in South Jersey and while visiting family a close friend of ours introduced us to a director at a Christian camp. Upon hearing our story and call to the mission field, he excitingly opened their doors to house us. At that point in time we were not looking for place to stay but like with everything else we prayed about it and put it in God’s hands. I kid you not the day we were calling the director to decline his offer we were kindly informed that we would need to leave our temporary housing. Prior to that call we felt as though we needed to stay and follow through with some things but in that moment we felt a sense of release and peace. God had already set everything up and it was one of those scenarios that the He just checked off every single box and more! Within a week we packed up all our belongings, moved and on our free time are serving alongside some of the most amazing people while continuing to raise our support. The camp director and his wife are amazing and a complete God sent as they are kingdom minded and want to help in every way to get us to the mission field. Already, I have had the opportunity to speak at a woman’s bible study which also opened up some doors to speak with some churches. We have also made many other connections and are believing that God is going to increase our partners before we head off onto our month long vision trip.

VISION TRIP UPDATE

As mentioned in our last newsletter Corey had a health scare back in June that has kept us in the states. Fortunately, it was only a tick bite, but because the doctors initially thought it was something much more serious he was required to go to several follow up appointments. Praise God, earlier this month the oncologist completely cleared him of anything serious and we are now just waiting for his last appointment. Once, we get the all clear then we can plan for our vision trip which we are hoping to leave for by the beginning of October. We are so excited to get our feet back on Zambian ground and to get a glimpse of what life will be like living and ministering to the Lunda people. We can not wait as it has been so heavy on our hearts and to be back will be a dream.

I’ll be completely honest sometimes Corey and I can get discouraged that we are not yet in Zambia, but then God reminds us that the vision that is so strongly ingrained in our hearts is not ours but His. He is the one that placed the calling on our lives and we know that He will be the one to get us there. Sometimes I feel like He taps me on the shoulder and is like stop looking at what you need but how far I have brought you. Only a year of raising support together we have seen $3,550 monthly come in and almost $50,000 for our deployment costs. It’s those sweet reminders that gives us the strength and hope to continue forward. We can not express fully how thankful we are for everyone of you who have pray and give financially. It’s one thing for God to place a call on your life, but it becomes so surreal when individuals see the call and are compelled to support. It truly brings us to our knees in praise as we recognize that it is all because of God that this is our present and future!

PRAYER REQUEST

That God would put the right people in our path that would feel lead to support us.

That Corey’s blood work comes back normal and we get the all clear from the doctors.

 all our love,

Corey and Candice

MAY/JUNE UPDATE

Where do we begin!

While Corey and I are in the states raising support we like to post a newsletter every two months. However, we felt it was important to update you on some recent events. We had a bit of scare with Corey’s health and he was admitted to the hospital several weeks ago. He was there for a week with a 104.5 fever and thankfully the doctors were able narrow it down to a tick bite. Apparently, it’s the malaria of America. Who knew?! We want to formally thank all those who were praying and encouraging us through this! It is such a blessing to have an amazing support system that we can reach out to. We still have some follow up appointments, but once we get the all clear we will be able to schedule our month long “Vision Trip”.

Progress Update / Testimony

Currently, our monthly percentage has increased to 64% and about 70% pledged . We have been incredibly busy forming new relationships, attending new bible studies, churches and ultimately giving this season to the God. We are eager to get to the field full-time but God is constantly reminding us that it is in His timing.

Just the other day we had the opportunity to speak at a bible study and not only did our team of partners expand but so did the Kingdom of heaven. A gentleman who had been attending the Bible study for weeks prior heard Corey’s testimony and decided to give his life to the Lord. Praise God!! We were so excited to be apart of such a life altering decision and at the end of the day that is what it is all about. That is why we do what we do. To see lives changed and transformed by the word of God wether we are here in the states or overseas.

This month Corey has also been able to help transition a gentleman who has some addictions to Transformation Life Center (TLC) in upstate New York. This so happens to be the place that Corey himself gave his life to the Lord and now four years later is on the board and helping other men transition from a lively hood of addiction to one of hope and freedom. We are believing for a complete turn around in this gentlemen’s life as we know that God can completely strip any addiction when you replace it with the truth. We know this to be true for so many. In fact when Corey gave his life to the Lord it was like snap when off in his brain and he no longer had a desire for the drugs that he had been taking for the past 15 years. We are so thankful for ministries like TLC and are blessed to be apart while here in the states.

THANK YOU

We are so thankful for all our those who have partnered with us through prayer and finances. It has been a long road of support raising and we are incredibly blessed to have a strong team behind us. We are praying and believing that this season will come to an end soon and will be on our permanent assignment.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please continue to pray that new doors will open for us to share the vision God has placed on our hearts.

Pray for a positive follow up appointments for Corey.

IN HIS TIMING

Hey Team!

We hope that you are all doing well!

MARCH & APRIL RECAP

As many of you know the last month has been a bit of an unexpected rollercoaster. There was a crazy unforeseen error in the back office when administration combined our budgets after marriage. Unfortunately, that caused our percentage to be off and lower than we had anticipated. Since then the error has been fixed and we are coming up to the 60% mark. We are believing that we will see our percentage increase to 100% within the next few months. This being said we had to stop and change gears as our focus was to start purchasing supplies, work visas and are now back to building the team. God is so good as He knows the whole picture and has been constantly opening new doors and allowing us to share with others the vision He has placed in our hearts. NOTHING is too small or too big for Him and it has been a pleasure to walk in His will and His timing.

NEW UPDATES

Corey had a gentleman from church reach out to him about holding a group meeting at his house to hear about our ministry. Let me tell you that we walked away that night completely blessed. Not just because we left with new partners, but because our testimonies touched and ministered to those present. There is truly something so amazing about sharing your testimony and watching others begin to tear up because they are struck with hope. Hope for themselves and hope for their loved ones. We all have testimony for a reason and it is so important that we share it because we never now how it could impact someone else’s life or better yet bring them to Christ.

We have recently moved as one of Corey’s relatives opened up her vacant home to us which is a blessing being that we are newly married and always have a place to stay. We were looking into other options but at the end of the day we really felt as though the Lord was leading us here. The day we arrived the next door neighbor who was a missionary in Northern Africa invited us to church and the opportunity to speak to her Pastor. We are all also excited to get involved at the Christian drug rehabilitation organization nearby as we believe it will be an amazing opportunity to minister and build new connections.

VSION TRIP

We have the opportunity to go on what Overland Missions calls a “Vision Trip” to our assignment for a month in order to get our feet on the ground and our toes wet. This will give us the chance to start our ministry as well as see our home and get more of a taste of what it will be like living in Zambezi with our team/family. While we are excited about this opportunity we are hoping to be fully funded before that approaches in order that we will not have to return. Either way we are excited!

As always we are so very thankful and bless for all those who have joined our team in prayer and financial support.

Prayer Request

– That we have opportunities to minister to others.

– Doors will continue to open as we are obedient to how He directs us.

All our love,

Corey & Candice

IT’S GETTING REAL

The last few months have been extremely busy with the holiday’s, traveling for work & our annual conference with Overland Missions. Though we miss the holidays and absolutely love traveling for work it is nice to be home and back into the swing of things. As I write there are so many exciting things we want to share with you all!

For those of you who are unaware Overland Missions has an annual conference. Our missionaries fly in from all over the world to share all that God has been doing in their country. We also had the opportunity to hear the founders of Overland Missions, Phil and Sharon Smethurst preach as well as some other mighty woman and men of God. Corey and I were talking after conference and we agreed that one of our greatest take aways is the importance of being in community and staying surrounded by people who are like minded and on fire for the Lord. Sometimes as humans we can get lost in a task and forget why we are doing what we are doing. In this case it is to see lives changed by the word of God. Our task currently, is to be full funded but the bigger picture is people & the Gospel.

MARRIED & FUNDRAISING

We have been incredibly blessed to see one door after the next open. Over the course of these last last few months being married and raising support we have had the opportunity to meet with so many amazing people who have linked their faith with ours and have come along on this journey with us. Just before we left for our work conference Corey’s friend called him up asking him for help to remove an AC unit from a ladies house. Without hesitation he threw on his jacket and told me he would be right back. Upon arriving he realized he knew the lady and that she was also a believer. They began chatting and somehow wound up talking about Africa and what we would be doing. When he came home he looked at me with amazement in his eyes and said, ” Well, babe…we are having dinner and a meeting with a family next week!!” In the moment I was a little taken back and then he continued by sharing that before leaving the lady also handed him a check. I don’t know why I am surprised every time God opens a door like this because that’s just the God we serve. When we are obedient and are in the will of God there is nothing that God won’t do. Corey’s intentions were to help a friend out but God clearly had his own plan. He also seems to continually bless us with the essential equipment and necessities needed to cover our deployment costs. Again, just before we left a gentleman who we knew planned on blessing us with some tools completely went over and beyond. We stopped by his house and he gave us brand new tools all of which will help us reach a remote people who have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel. That’s what this is all about!!

PROGRESS on our base in ZAMBEZI, AFRICA.

This building will serve as our main center where we will gather for meals, worship and more importantly a place where the people from all over will come hear the Gospel. Some even for the very first time!!

Along with the main canter we are excited to share that power lines have been connected to the hospital nearby! This will give us the opportunity to connect electricity not only to our base, but the nearby villages who have never had electricity.

Our team has officially been in Zambezi for a year sharing the Gospel and building relationships with the locals and tribes on and across the Zambezi river. Currently, we have a total of four families living on the base, three of which are fully-funded and are doing life full-time! Hopefully, we will be joining them soon!

HOW IS FUNDRAISING GOING? WHEN WILL WE BE LEAVING??

Fundraising is a process that we know will never end while we are in this field. Sometimes it feels like we have been fundraising for forever, but Corey and I look at this as a time of growth, preparation and our mission field. There were a few things that needed to be ironed out after we got married. Now that we are two people our budget has increased and we have been waiting on our official percentage which we finally now know!!! We are 54% We are extremely hopeful that we will be full funded in the next few months.

We ask if you aren’t already partnered with us for you to prayerfully consider partnering. It is because of you that we are able to fulfill the calling that God has placed on our lives. Also, even though you aren’t there you are a huge part of people hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a team effort and we look forward to building a relationship with you and are adamant about staying connected even while we are on the field!! We mentioned that we need your prayers and we know that there are times that you will also need prayer. We never want our team to feel neglected and we would love to come alongside you in prayer and agreement! When I tell people what we do I love to mention that when we are in Africa we live in a community much different from America. Yes, we have a neighbors in the states but there we do life together. We work, eat, worship and spend time with one another. That’s how we (Corey & myself) view our team. You are part of our community and though we may not be able to do all those things we are still ale to communicate with one another and lift each others prayer request up. All this to say that we would be honored to have you apart of this journey!

We would love to sit down, have a coffee or tea whichever you prefer (I love both! ) and discuss further into detail on what we will be doing and how your partnership would be effective to our team. If you are too far to get together we would love to schedule a ZOOM call! You can contact us by email candice@overlandmissions.com or corey@overlandmissions.com.

WHAT A GIFT

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love this time of the year. When all the vibrant leaves have finally fallen, the cold winter air starts settling in and the snow slowly approaches. More excitingly is the Holiday that begins to make its appearance moments after the Thanksgiving turkey is consumed. Shortly thereafter the amazing “ALEXA” is instructed to play Christmas music and the excitement begins to unravel as decorations are pulled out of storage and slowly transforms a house into a whimsical Christmas fairytale. Then you walk outside and all over lights light up the early dark sky. No wonder it said that this is, “The Best Time of the Year,” and I agree!!

To some this season is about family coming together after a long year and for others it is finding that perfect present for loved ones. While I love this time of year and all the fun traditions it brings my excitement heightens as I reflect on the why Christmas is truly celebrated. It is that knowing of what was done for every single individual out of love, which in return produces an undeniable joy. A joy that stays with you past Christmas and throughout the entire year. This joy comes from the greatest present ever to be given and it came in the form of a child. A child sent by God to give us a second chance. A second chance of an intimate relationship with Him. This child that I speak of is God’s one and only son, Jesus. He spent His life sharing what true love looks like by giving Himself sacrificially to save you and me.

Maybe this is foreign to you or you have heard this all before but this gift completely changed my life and my husbands. It is this gift that compels Corey and I too share with others what He has done and the joy it has brought to our lives. I think about Corey and how he was a slave to drugs for 15 years but today you look at him and you would never know that. The moment he accepted Christ into his heart a literal “snap” went off in his head and from that moment on he was changed. The desire for drugs was completely erased and his life took a complete 180. All I can say is that Jesus is real and He loves you just as much Corey or any other individual.

This is why almost two years ago we decided to join Overland Missions. To move across the world, live among beautiful individuals who have never heard the name of Jesus and give them the chance to know who He is and what He did for them.

I would love if we could just book a ticket and go but that is not the case. We need a team who is willing to support us through prayer as well as financially. With you we can reach the ends of the earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We would be honored to have you apart of our team and in reality it is way more exciting to do this with a team. A team who believes in the vision and want’s to be apart of lives changed and transformed by His love. If that is you then let’s sit down and chat! We want to get to know you and we would love to share more about what we are going and all that we will be doing!

NEW BIGINNING’S

Hello Friends & Family,

What a season it has been. From starting a relationship to getting engaged and now married! It has all gone by so fast but as I reflect back on the past few years and the entirety of my life I am in awe of God’s faithfulness. Only God can bring two people from entirely different backgrounds and place them together at just the right time. Now that we are finally married we are starting a completely new season in our lives. One of the biggest changes yet perks of the married life is being together almost all of the time. Unlike dating there is no separating at the end of the day and I must say I absolutely love it. If you didn’t know I am 99.9% a people person and love to be around others almost all of the time. I am sure there are some of you that can relate unless I am just that rare bread, but I highly doubt it. There is however that occasional 5 minutes I need alone and of course time to spend with God, but other than that I’m all about the people. Corey on the other hand needs a little more time to regroup and his alone time is of the upmost importance which can at times be difficult for me. I don’t always know what to do with myself. I am assuming that over time that will change and I will start wanting that time alone, yah?!? Ladies, this is your time to moment to comment below and let me know I am not alone. Also, if you have any newlywed advice please share! None the less Corey is also a huge peoples person and loves spending time with others and building relationships. He is actually the more outgoing of the two of us and can strike up a conversation with anyone. Just the other day we were out garage sailing one of our favorite hobbies to do together and the moment he stops onto the property he is in his zone talking to every person that passes by. People seem to gravitate towards him and I have to say that was one of his qualities that caught my eye before we started dating.

I’m not sure if you have noticed but I absolutely love writing which wasn’t always the case. For the life of me I could not write and all throughout high school and college I would be up for hours the night before cramming in my 15 page paper. My best friend could contest to that. Anyways, I realize I completely went off topic and talked about Corey and I for a bit, but our hope is that we can use this as a tool to not only keep you updated but interact with one another. Also, it’s a way for those of you who don’t know us on a more intimate level to get good gage on what we are like, our personalities and why we love what we do which is serve Jesus. Our goal is continue building our relationship with you all the while keeping you informed of what’s going.

As we begin this new season together we are able to focus on getting fully funded and hopefully launching into full-time ministry by the beginning of 2022. Now, there is quite a bit that needs to be accomplished between now and then, but we know that with God ALL things are possible. As we move forward our plan is to continue to build our team by meeting with potential partners and using all our resources to form new contacts. In just a few weeks we will be headed out on a short road trip to New York to do just that. So as your praying keep us in your prayers that God would place it on peoples hearts to partner with us.

Once again thank you for all your love, prayers and financial support. The vision God has placed in our hearts could not be accomplished without you. We look forward to continuing our relationship with each and every one of you and who knows maybe one day you will boarding a plane to come visit us in Africa.

If you are reading this and would like to give you can do so by going to our “give” button up above and follow the directions. We would also love the opportunity to chat with you in person or FaceTime. This way we can get to know each other!!

NEW SEASON

Hello Friends and Family,

We pray that you are all doing well and have enjoyed your summer! My goodness how it has flown by. I’ll be honest I am looking forward to the fall and all the lovely changes that come with the season. One of them being the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks which I so happen to be sipping on now as we fly to Florida.

These past few months have completely flown by since Corey and I got engaged. We have been so focused on planning the wedding and growing our monthly partners that we almost forgot about our newsletter. It has been an exciting time as we have had many opportunities to share what we will be doing when we finally land in Zambia.

The most exciting part when we meet with someone or speak at a church is being able to build relationships and speak into lives. I recall this one time not too long ago when myself, Corey and our good friend Holden had the opportunity to share at a church up in NY. It was after we had spoken and service was over as we were headed to the food hall and a young man stopped us and excitedly announced how much he needed to hear what we had to share. A little while later that same young man came up to us and asked if he could talk privately. Of course we said yes and stepped into another room. He slowly began to speak and express again how thankful he was that we had come and shared. That everything that had been spoken was exactly what he needed to hear. He continued by sharing a little about himself and how he wasn’t able to hold a steady job, but through certain opportunities he was able to save up some money and what happened next completely blew our minds. He proceeded to pull out his wallet and hand us all the money that he had saved. Personally, I was fighting back tears as I could see the true geniuses in this young mans eyes and his faith in God. Not everyday does someone just hand you all the money they have to their name. We stood there at awe and completely humbled by his actions. We continued to talk and as it turns out a lot of what he was going through in his own personal life was very similar to what I had gone through almost a year ago. I knew at that moment this appointment was no coincidence. God uses some of the lowest and darkest times of our lives to be able to speak life into someone else. There is nothing uncommon to man and I believe whole heartedly and I know that Corey would agree when I say, that God allows us to endure certain situations in order to minster to others in the future. It may not seem life it at the time but God turns all things around for the good of those who love Him. This is what this is all about. Being able to build up the body of Christ and bring others into his Kingdom whether we are overseas or here in the states and those divine connections make things even sweeter.

Some fun updates at our soon to be home in Zambezi, Zambia!

Our base is slowly progressing and it has been so exciting to watch from afar as our team on site has been sending us photos and keeping us updated. Recently, Casey (our Sector Leader) was made a headman which is a huge deal and honor. You can hear the complete story by downloading the “Gospel and Grit” podcast. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for future post as they are encouraging are able to hear from many different missionaries in Overland Missions.

As I mentioned earlier Corey and I were on a flight to Florida. Last month we were shocked to receive news that our good friend Holden suddenly passed away. Corey and Holden have been best buds ever since Transformation Life Center back in 2018. After they finished TLC they applied and went to Advance Missions Training where I had the privilege of meeting them both. Holden was truly one of a kind. He was the type of person who turns down plans just so he could drive several hours to pick someone up in need of a ride. He was completely selfless and surrendered to the Lord. Though, we miss our friend dearly and wish we could just have one more moment with him, we are certain that He is with our heavenly father rejoicing. He will never be forgotten as he left a true legacy behind and no person that came in contact with him was left without a smile!

P.S. Corey and I will be getting married on the 25th of this month and some of you have asked if we will be doing a Facebook live. That will probably be determined the day before so just keep an eye out!

We were are living in some crazy crazy days seeing things we have never seen before but don’t let that discourage you. Continue to run the race God has set before and know that He always has a plan for your life and the circumstances you may be going through. Please know that we are always here for you and are just a phone call away!

Again, we love you all and are so incredibly thankful for each and everyone of you!

Corey & Candice

Soon to be “Johnson’s Journey”

Well Hello All,

I have been impatiently waiting at the end of my seat to write this blog. Many of you have probably already seen or heard, but for those who haven’t Corey and I are ecstatic to announce that we are officially engaged! This results in a few changes, one being that I will no longer be moving to Mozambique, but following Corey to Zambezi, Zambia. I can not be more excited as God has placed a strong desire on my heart over the last year to work alongside Corey and the other team members already stationed Zambezi.

The focus still stays same wherever we go with Overland Missions and that is sharing the Gospel and the importance of becoming a new creation in Christ. In we will be building a base from the ground up on land that was gifted to us by the locals. While we were in Zambia Corey had the opportunity to visit Zambezi.  It is a small fishing village in north-western Zambia bordering the country Angola.  Due to their inaccessibility and remote locations many of the villages in that area have never heard the Gospel. The Zambezi base is a 1200 acre property located on the mighty Zambezi river.  This property will not only be protected from outsiders, but will also serve as a home for myself and our team. It will serve many purposes from new place for future expedition, a safe environment for the locals to gather, worship and fellowship with one another.  Our vision for the Zambezi base is to build a home for our missionaries that will serve as a pioneering mission base for our team to reach the neglected in the area. For the next five years Corey, myself and our team will be calling Zambezi our home and working tirelessly to reach the surrounding communities and beyond with the Gospel.

SO WHAT IS NEXT?!

When are you guys getting married?! This just might be the question floating around in your head as you are reading this and thankfully I have an answer. Our date is set for September 25 of this year. YES… of this year! We decided it would be more logical to get married before we left on assignment instead of waiting another year or two. This way we can begin fundraising more efficiently together and hopefully be fully funded shortly after we are wed. Honestly, we are both excited as we know that this time of fundraising is coming to a quick end because in our heart of hearts we know that God wants us there and He will provide.

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING?!

Well fundraising has become something that we both have enjoyed as we have trusted God and His plan for our lives. We have been obedient and have seen one door after the next open. From building our partner team to helping out in the community and the opportunity to share with the youth. For me it has always been a blessing to be able to pour into the next generation. They are so vital to this world and it is important that we as believers never overlook them because they understand and can do a lot more than we sometimes give them credit. I urge you the next time you have the opportunity to spend time with the younger generation to open your heart and make known to them how important they truly are. It only takes one person to change a life. Think about it …it only took Jesus “one person” to come down from heaven and change the entire world because He loved us and laid His life down everyone one of us.

Below is a sneak peak of what Zambezi looks like & how ministry has already begun!

If you have any desire to learn more about Overland Missions and our involvement please contact Corey (corey@overlandmissions.com) or myself (candice@overlandmissions.com). WE would love the opportunity to sit down or even FaceTime about the opportunity God has given us to share the Gospel and how your involvement can help

All Our Love, Corey & Candice

Sow a Thought … Reap a Destiny

Lately, I feel as though the Lord has been speaking to me about peace. Especially, in the days that we are living in. We can get so caught up in ourselves and what is going on around us that we forget who we are and the troubles, self consumption becomes apart of us. Our lives begin to fall apart barely hanging on by a string and I know this from firsthand experience. I can also tell you that there is hope because of God and though we will face trials and all sorts of life obstacles we can still stand strong in the midst of a storm. I have realized that it is quite evident that peace involves both the heart and mind. We know this because when an individuals thinking starts going astray and is no longer focused on God the two, the heart and the mind are pulled apart (Isaiah 26:3). We become strangled with worry, confusion, depression and anything else that the enemy tries to throw at us. Sometimes its not even the enemy, but it is us giving the enemy a way in to our minds to manipulate our thoughts. Now, we know that thoughts are powerful and weigh heavily on all of us and that is only because the individual is not taking the thoughts captive as instructed (2 Corinthians 5:10). You may be asking how? How do you take the thoughts captive when they just continually invade your mind to the point it is paralyzing. Well believe it or not that was me. I couldn’t sleep without being abruptly woken up by my worries or even function throughout my day without my mind being totally bombarded by thoughts that caused me to lose my appetite. Sometimes I could not even make it out of my bed because the thoughts felt like a weighted brick holding me tightly against my pillow. I would try so hard to figure it all out myself but ended up allowing a complete whirlwind of negative and intrusive thoughts to run my life. I was at a point in my life that my heart and mind could not be farther apart. I’ll admit that I could easily go back to that place, but I realized I have a choice and part of that choice is peace. The way we get there is by trusting and believing in the Lord. Trusting and believing the Holy Spirit that lives inside you and pressing into the word no matter how you feel or what your thinking and praising Him in the best and worst of times. Trust me, it may not be easy at first but it works. The first thing I do in the morning is thank the Lord for everything and though worry or depression may try to sneak in during my day I immediately take the thoughts captive by allowing it to be their, but not allowing it to rule my life. I would replace it with the truth and meditate on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence , if there is anything worthy of praise…” (Philippians 4:8). I read something very profound that was apropos to what the Lord was speaking to me about.

“Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a habit, Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

It all starts with a thought and ends with a destiny. You and you alone determine your life by the thoughts that you allow to run wildly through your mind. You have the power to choose a life of peace or chaos. Align your thoughts with the truth and see how your life will dramatically change. My prayer is that if any of this relates to that you will have a revelation of the truth and who you are in Christ. That there is a purpose and plan for your life no matter what the enemy may sneak into your thoughts. Run to the word and praise Him in all seasons. He is a good good Father and there is nothing that He can’t help you out of. Nothing.

WHATS NEW?!?

Recently, I returned from a week of conferences with Overland Missions and had the amazing opportunity to listen to a handful of missionaries from all the over the world. This year considering the crazy ups and downs and an abundance of obstacles, Overland missionaries had the opportunity to reach thousands of people with the Gospel. Our motto is ANY LOAD. ANY ROAD. ANY TIME. and with complete obedience and by the grace of God this year has been one for the books. We had fifty individuals sign up for the Advance Missions Training Program and by the end of the three incredible but intense months almost all joined staff. Praise God! Despite a crazy year the growth of missionaries is continuing to increase which only means an increase in the amount of people we are going to be able to reach with the Gospel. No matter the circumstances God is always on the move!

Upon returning as of lately has been to continue to pursue my Ministerial Partner Development season in order to make it to Africa before the end of next year. If you have any desire to learn more about Overland Missions and my involvement please contact me either by phone (610-504-4415) or email (candice@overlandmissions.com). I would love the opportunity to sit down or even FaceTime about the opportunity God has given me to share the Gospel and how your involvement can help.

Lots of love, Candice

Keep Up With Me

Hello All!!!

It has been while since my last update! As we all know and have experienced these past few months have been an unexpected and yet exciting time to be alive. I do realize however that we have all dealt with Covid at a different compacity from losing jobs to even losing a loved one. It has definitely been a difficult season and my prayers go out to all those that have been affected. Even now I am praying that as you read this that you are filled with peace and are experiencing Gods blessings in the midst of this unexpected turn of events.

On the other hand while following safety guidelines Overland Missions has been able to continue to reach the unreached with the Gospel. I recently ran across a testimony that I absolutely loved and I wanted to share it with you all. It shows that even through difficult times God is still at work and He is a miracle working God!

Jane Marie N & Lydia“At this house I experienced something I had never witnessed before! The woman next to me is Lydia. Lydia was deaf, but I had no idea when we started sharing the Gospel. We explained the baptism of the Holy Spirit and she sat patiently in the back of the room. But as we were sharing, she told us later that her ears were opened and she could hear again! ‘I thank God for His power, for I was able to hear the Word of God today!’ she told me. I love being a vessel for God and a witness of His transformational power through me,” Jane Marie N, missionary in Zambia.

What am I doing?! My focus as of lately has been to continue to pursue my MPD (Ministerial Partner Development) season in order to make it to Africa before the end of next year. If you have any desire to learn more about Overland Missions and my involvement please contact me either by phone (610-504-4415) or email (candice@overlandmissions.com). All my love Candice 🤍
